My day 3 last week was an excellent boost. My triathlon class did a 6 mile bike ride over hilly terrain, and then we got off and ran 1/2 mile. I know that's not a lot of running, but your legs feel like led none-the-less after a bike ride.
I was especially pleased because I have FINALLY figured out the gears on my bike after all these years, and doubly pleased because I made it up some not-so-fun hills without dying or having to hop off my bike to walk it up-hill.
